STORYLINE:
The megacity of Chongqing in southwest China is famed for the fiery hotpot, a renowned cuisine in the country.
Hechuan District in the municipality, which started to build a food ingredient industrial park in 2022, is riding on this success in nurturing hotpot-related industry clusters.
In total, the district has established 11 municipal R&D platforms, two smart factories, and 44 digital workshops, amassing 278 patents in hotpot ingredient manufacturing.
