Aldaia, Spain - November 01, 2024 Deploying advanced aerial technology, the Policía’s Aerial Unit is scanning the flood-ravaged areas of Aldaia, focusing on locating trapped victims and assessing the extensive damage left by the catastrophic DANA storm. Equipped to access areas unreachable by ground teams, the unit aims to identify and rescue survivors, as well as to prevent further risks from unseen hazards. The storm’s brutal force gave residents no time to flee, sweeping away homes, vehicles, and businesses in a matter of minutes. Four days into the recovery efforts, authorities have confirmed 211 deaths, most of them in eastern Valencia. As the search continues, the aerial unit’s surveillance and rescue capabilities offer a crucial lifeline in the urgent mission to locate the missing.
