Storm rescue volunteers sing together while unloading relief goods
This is the heartwarming moment youngsters sang together while volunteering to unload relief goods for storm victims.
The group signed up to help at the nongovernment organisation Angat Buhay Foundation, where they were assigned to assist in lifting donated rice, coffee, milk, and other instant meal packs off the back of a lorry in Naga, the Philippines, on October 30.
Footage shows the lads chanting a love song as one of their friends played music on the piano. They formed a human chain, passing bags one after another to a pile in the loving room.
They sang 'Huling El Bimbo', a song by a local Filipino band that tells the story of a youngster's first love.
Doc Jess Albeus, who was in the volunteer centre at the time, said: 'It was the house of former Vice President Leni Robredo, turned into a temporary relief centre and stock room during the storm.
'The boys were assigned to carry the bags while the girls were inside, repacking the donations. There were thousands of volunteers more than a week.'
Doc Jess, who is running for city councillor in the upcoming election, added: 'One of them played the piano for the volunteers. The former Vice President Leni is really inspiring the youth.'
Trami, known locally as Kristine, intensified into a severe tropical storm and churned over the Philippine Sea on Wednesday, October 23.
Philippine weather agency PAGASA said it made landfall over Isabela province in the country's northeast at 12:30 am on Thursday last week.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported at least 145 fatalities, 115 injuries, and 37 missing persons due to Trami.
