US, Los Angeles: San Gabriel National Forest Los Angeles County Fire Engine Overturns on Highway 39 Part 2
Los Angeles, United States - November 03, 2024 11/03/2024 05:39 pm (GMT-0700) SAN GABRIEL NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. – A Los Angeles County Fire Engine overturned on Highway 39 at mile marker 24.51. Three firefighters were transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. It is unknown at this time how the crash occurred or if speed was a factor. Azusa police officers had Highway 39 closed for traffic as they overturned the fire truck. CHP from the Baldwin Park office is handling the investigation into the crash. The fire truck came within an inch of going down the hillside and into the reservoir. Per LACoFD INFO: L.A. County Fire Department ʏ @LACOFDPIO SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT Mile Marker 24 on SAN GABRIEL HWY 5:39 p.m. Squad 32 treated 3 #LACOFD firefighters for minor injuries after Engine 32 overturned onto its side responding to a cliff rescue. All 3 FFs were transported@ 6:08 to local hospital. Cause of accident unknown.
