This is the moment an adorable panda cub glides down an icy slope while tumbling and rolling down a set of steps during Moscow's first snowfall.

Footage from Moscow Zoo in Russia shows Katyusha, the first giant panda cub born in the country, playfully tussling with her mother on November 4.

Later, she is seen playing in the snow, sliding down a wooden structure as the season's first snow blankets her enclosure.

General Director of the Moscow Zoo Svetlana Akulova said: 'Katyushka's adventures.'

Katyusha, born in August 2023 to parents Zhui and Ding Ding, is the first giant panda cub born in Russia.

Akulova also announced plans to reunite the panda parents in 2026 for a second mating attempt.

Pandas Zhui and Ding Ding arrived at the Moscow Zoo in 2019 to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and China.

The zoo's staff spent several months training at a Chinese nursery to learn how to care for pandas properly.
