Riverview, United States - October 31, 2024 On October 31, a community-wide search came to a successful close when deputies safely located a missing juvenile with autism who had wandered away from school and removed his Safety Net tracking device. With aerial support from #teamHCSO’s Aviation Section, deputies followed a lead from a neighbor who spotted the boy near 11100 Leland Groves Drive. The juvenile was found unharmed and was quickly reunited with his guardians. Sheriff Chad Chronister commended the rapid response, saying, “Thanks to the quick action of our deputies and the community’s support, we brought this juvenile home safely.” The case highlights the dedication of local law enforcement and community members to ensuring safety for all residents.
