School children erupted with joy playing rock, paper, scissors with teachers - while racing through an obstacle course.

Footage shows the teams of kids and instructors battling with the classic game during a school event in Bohol, the Philippines on October 31.

Whenever a player scored a point, they would run along the DIY course with dozens of bottled water and bowls as they tried to beat each other to their opponent's base.

The first one to reach the end base won, with the youngsters finally outplaying their teachers. The game was so much fun that all of the assembled pupils taking part and watching were enthralled, laughing through the event.

Teacher Ronie Mateo said: 'We did the activity as part of our rosary month celebration. We also played trivia quiz that day. It was so much fun.'

In the Philippines, October is also celebrated as the month of the Holy Rosary, following the Catholic Church's tradition of dedicating October to honouring and praying the Rosary.

The strong Christian faith in the country, particularly Roman Catholicism, is due to the country's more than 400-year history of Spanish expansion.
