London, United Kingdom - November 06, 2024 In a striking display of defiance, Just Stop Oil activists painted the US Embassy in London early this morning after former President Donald Trump declared victory in the U.S. election, seemingly positioning himself for a return as the 47th president. At approximately 9:20 a.m., two activists, Joseph Aggarwal, 25, and Jimmy, 72, made their mark on the embassy building. Their protest was not merely against Trump but aimed at highlighting broader frustrations with the global fossil fuel agenda and the influence of corporate power on governments in the U.S. and UK. Just Stop Oil continues to demand an end to fossil fuel extraction and has called on ordinary citizens to rally against a system they claim favors billionaire interests over public welfare. Aggarwal expressed disillusionment with a political system he says offers “no real choice,” while Jimmy, representing a senior voice, left his message short but emphatic: “No more words.” The group, rallying in support of its imprisoned activists and in memory of climate defenders globally, warns that without a drastic shift, social and environmental collapse will only accelerate.
