The unusual incident prompted a swift response from the Overland Police Department, who were called in to safely remove the buck from the bathroom. Owner Lily Vo recounted the frantic scene to KSDK-TV, stating, “Everybody was screaming. It was scary, and I tried to let everybody out—it was clearly good, we were very lucky.” The deer, seemingly unfazed by the commotion, explored the salon, jumping over workstations and causing a mess before eventually retreating to the bathroom. The police department shared a video on social media, showcasing the moment an officer opened the bathroom door to release the deer, while two other officers stood on a counter for safety, humorously capturing the absurdity of the situation. “We’d also like to commend the bravery of the two officers standing on the counter, encouraging PO Thompson to open the door,” the department quipped in their post.
