Expressive monkey amuses zoo visitors in China
This is the moment an expressive monkey amused zoo visitors in China.
Holidaymakers were entertained by the pig-tailed macaque playfully modelling in front of them at Qianling Mountain in Guiyang, Guizhou, on July 1.
Footage shows the primate pausing for poses as if in a photoshoot, with its head held high and lips puckered. It even turned around to show its rear, causing zoo-goers to laugh at the sight.
Its natural talent for modelling won the hearts of visitors, making it an instant celebrity.
A park staff member told local media that pig-tailed macaques are incredibly smart and expressive creatures.
The zookeeper said: 'Those animals express their emotions by naturally raising their eyes, squinting, or pouting without any training.'
