The fire, first reported late Tuesday evening, has swiftly spread through dry brush, driven by high winds and challenging terrain. As of Wednesday morning, the Ventura County Fire Department reported the blaze had grown to approximately 1,200 acres with only minimal containment. Several evacuation orders have been issued for residents in the upper Ojai Valley and surrounding areas as firefighters work to secure structures and protect lives. Additional resources, including air tankers and helicopters, have been deployed to slow the fire's advance, particularly in steep areas difficult to access on foot.
