Strong winds leave zip line tourist stranded 300ft above ground
A tourist stranded in the middle of a zip line due to strong winds was rescued.
The adventure-seeker was sliding along the 300ft (91.4 metres) high attraction when the gust dragged him, causing him to stop in Rizal, the Philippines, on November 3.
Footage shows the visitor hanging on the cable while two zip line operators approach him. The first guide attached his harness to the tourist so they could be strapped together.
His colleague then pulled them both as he hoisted the three of them along the line facing upwards.
Onlooker Gladys Espartero, who saw them from a restaurant's balcony, said: 'They responded very quickly. The key is not to panic. They were like Spider-Man.'
When the three of them were near the platform, another guide reached out with a long pole, which helped them land successfully.
No one was hurt, but the attraction was closed for the day due to bad weather.
The incident happened a day before tropical cyclone Yinxing, locally named Marce, entered the Philippines making it the 13th storm to enter the archipelago this year.
