Footage from the Newsflare vaults from China of a motorcyclist dragging a police officer on a road for around 100 metres after he tried to avoid a police checkpoint.

The CCTV video, filmed in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, in April 2016, shows the man suddenly making a break for it while he's talking to the officer but, as he pulls away, the policeman manages to grab the back of the bike and holds on until the motorcyclist crashes into a grass verge.

According to local reports, the driver didn't have his license on him and was afraid the police would seize his motorbike at the checkpoint, so he tried to run away.

The policeman had injuries all over his body, but none of them were serious.
