According to the doctor, the patient came to the hospital with pain and itching in his ear. The patient said that about 3 days ago he started feeling itchy and the itching and pain became more and more severe.
The doctor used an endoscope and discovered a poisonous ant in the man's ear. This is a species of ant called a fire ant. Their venom causes itching and swelling. This is an aggressive ant and if it touches the body, the ant will attack continuously. To prevent the ant from continuing to attack the man's ear, the doctor used a strong light to attract the ant out of the man's ear.
The ant caused the man's ear canal to swell and it will take several days to treat.
The man said he did not know how the ant crawled into his ear.
The footage was filmed with the patient's permission.
