China - Recent Storyline: French companies at CIIE express confidence in China's market potential [Voice_over] Celebrating its six decades of diplomatic ties with China this year, France is the guest country of honour at the ongoing 7th China International Import Expo, where French companies have a strong presence. CMA CGM, a global shipping company based in France, and French cosmetic giant L’ORÉAL have both participated in CIIE for seven consecutive years. Representatives of the two companies expressed confidence in their Chinese investments. [Sound_bite] Vincent Boinay, CEO and President of North Asia Zone, L'Oréal China: "One key achievement on sustainability in China is that all our factories are 100 percent renewable energy. And there is a ‘waterloop’ as well in all our factories. For us at Loreal, I say it, we repeated it, but investing in China today is investing in the future." [Sound_bite] Florent D'azevedo, Head of Strategic Business Development, CMA CGM China: "We have a very solid partnership with China State Shipbuilding Corporation, CSSC, which is the manufacturer of many of our low carbon vessels today. Earlier this year, we engaged in a collaboration with CATL, the world leader of lithium-ion batteries, to engage in the R&D collaboration in electric ships, commercial vehicles, warehouses, logistics, et cetera."
