In a delicate rescue operation in southern India's Kerala, a dog trapped in a home's gate was freed by fire and rescue officials.

The incident took place in Wadakkanchery town of Thrissur district on November 7.

Visuals showed the dog wedged between the gate’s grills, visibly distressed as the rescue team worked diligently. With precise techniques and specialized equipment, the officials carefully maneuvered to avoid injuring the animal. The dog appeared anxious, but the rescuers’ calm approach ensured its safety.

Speaking to Newslions, Nidheesh TK, Fire Station Officer at Wadakkanchery Fire Station in Thrissur, Kerala, confirmed that a team led by Senior Fire and Rescue Officer Kaleshkumar used a hydraulic spreader to widen the gate bars, freeing the dog without harm.
