A plucky piglet clung to a pipe on the ceiling while trying to escape from a farm.

The hoglet was with its siblings being guided back into the cage when it pulled away from the group and attempted to flee in Daegu, South Korea, on October 10.

Footage shows the young pig clambering on the tube. It hangs there for a minute before a farmer spots it and snatches it back.

The animal was returned to the ground with its siblings while the amused caretaker laughed.

Amused farmer Assadawoot Posiri said: 'I do not know what it was doing up there, but it looked like it wanted to leave.'
