US, Los Angeles: Rancho Cucamonga Suspect Shoots at Police During Pursuit on 210 Freeway B Roll
Los Angeles, United States - November 07, 2024 11/07/2024 09:35 pm (GMT-0700) RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – San Bernardino PD officers were in pursuit of a black vehicle after undercover officers observed a car-to-car shooting at 14th Street and Magnolia Avenue. According to the SBPD, one of the rounds also struck an unmarked police vehicle. The incident occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m., prompting SBPD units to chase after the suspect vehicle as it entered the westbound 210 Freeway, where shots were fired at the pursuing officers near Day Creek Boulevard. According to an SBPD Watch Commander, no rounds were fired by officers, and no officers were struck or injured. The suspect vehicle had reached speeds of over 100 mph on the freeway. Officers stopped the vehicle on the 210 Freeway at Archibald Avenue and took two suspects into custody. It is unknown at this time if a weapon was recovered. CHP from the Rancho Cucamonga station will be handling the shooting investigation on the westbound 210 Freeway at Day Creek Boulevard in the city of Rancho Cucamonga. CHP requested a hard closure for the westbound 210 Freeway at the 15 Freeway interchange and diverted all traffic to the 15 Freeway as CHP and San Bernardino PD searched for evidence. A Sig Alert was issued for an unknown duration.
