Beirut, Lebanon - November 07, 2024 Storyline: The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since the beginning of the Israeli-Hezbollah conflict on Oct. 8, 2023 had reached 3,117, with injuries rising to 13,888, the Lebanese Health Ministry said on Friday. Twelve people were killed and 10 others injured on Friday in a series of Israeli airstrikes on eastern and southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese sources. The Lebanese military sources, who spoke anonymously, said Israeli warplanes carried out 15 raids in southern Lebanon and four more in the east, inflicting several casualties. The official National News Agency said that four people were killed and five others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the town of Al-Ghandouriya on Friday. On Friday evening, the Israeli forces called on civilians in several designated areas of Beirut's southern suburbs to evacuate immediately before the airstrikes. Subsequently, the Israeli military launched strikes on multiple buildings in the Hadath and Haret Hreik areas of Beirut's southern suburbs. Also on Friday, the Israeli military reported that it had discovered and destroyed a Hezbollah training center in southern Lebanon. Additionally, the Israeli forces intercepted several drones that were flying from Lebanon toward Israel that day. Hezbollah on the same day announced in a series of statements that its military wing targeted with rocket barrages Ramat David Airbase and Stella Maris naval base near northern Israel's Haifa, the Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona, and gatherings of Israeli forces in several moshavim and kibbutzim in Israel. Hezbollah added that it also struck an Israeli infantry force northwest of the Lebanese village of Kfar Kila and an Israeli gathering in the Lebanese town of Adaisseh. Earlier on Friday, Israeli military and rescue service reported that Hezbollah fired about five rockets toward central and northern Israel, setting off air raid sirens in 53 Israeli cities and communities.
