Kenyan President William Ruto on Thursday visited the under-construction Talanta Sports City Stadium in Nairobi.
The 60,000-seat FIFA standard professional football stadium is constructed by China Road and Bridge Corporation. The project is slated for completion by the end of 2025.
It will serve as a main venue for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as matches, of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ruto said the project will redefine Kenya's sporting profile and offer an iconic facility and infrastructural upgrade for both the city and the nation.
