Gaza Strip - November 08, 2024 Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani, in a recent statement, shed light on the ongoing humanitarian aid situation in Gaza. He revealed that since the beginning of last month, 713 aid trucks have successfully entered northern Gaza. The Israeli military has also taken steps to alleviate the situation by announcing the opening of an additional crossing to facilitate the influx of aid. However, Shoshani emphasized that the issue isn't the quantity of aid entering Gaza but rather the internal distribution. He noted that "the problem isn’t the lack of aid entering Gaza, it’s the threat of Hamas looting the aid trucks." Despite the efforts, aid is not reaching its intended recipients due to these security concerns. Humanitarian aid continues to flow into Gaza daily, yet on the Gaza side of the Kerem Shalom crossing, aid equivalent to 700 trucks remains uncollected. This statement was accompanied by a video showing the aid languishing within Gaza, awaiting distribution.
