A cheeky orangutan was caught on camera playfully pulling faces at zoogoers.

Lucie Štěpničková, 38, was visiting Prague Zoo, Czech Republic, on November 4, when she spotted the six-month-old male orangutan, called Harapan, pulling faces at a crowd.

In pictures, the great ape is seen sitting in his mother Diri's lap while looking around and taking in his surroundings.

Snaps show Harapan pulling funny faces at the adoring spectators.

Lucie, a shop assistant, from Prague, Czech Republic, said: "Now little Harapan is half a year old and he has finally been given a little freedom."

"We can finally have a good look at him playing on a rope or with a rope."

"Little Harapan rewards us with incredible faces. "

"It's unbelievable what kind of faces such a small orangutan can make. "

"I had to laugh at him a lot. He is incredibly magical and cute. I'm very curious what he's going to show me on my next visit."
