A tidal bore was seen rolling along a river in China.

Footage captured by Mr Wei shows the wave surging toward the shore in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, on August 19.

Continuous waves can be seen rapidly moving down the river, prompting awe from onlookers.

The Qiantang River Tide attracts thousands of tourists every year due to its famous tidal bore. The phenomenon occurs when ocean tides forcefully surge into the river's narrow mouth, creating massive waves that can reach heights of up to 9 meters (30 feet).
