This is the heartwarming moment kind locals handed an umbrella to a family of tourists struggling through the rain.

Kittipong Yimjaroen and friends were travelling through a storm when they spotted the foreigners - a father, his wife, and a toddler - walking on the pavement in Phang Nga province, Thailand on November 3.

Footage shows the group of good Samaritans pulling over and giving the family a parasol.

Kittipong said in the video: 'Excuse me, I will give you.'

He handed the object to the soaked tourists who smiled and thanked them before they all bid goodbye.

Kittipong said: 'I was driving and saw foreigners walking in the rain, carrying a baby. I happened to have an umbrella inside, so I opened the window to give him the umbrella.'
