Woman shocked to find wild monkey rummaging through living room
A student was shocked to find a wild monkey rummaging through the dorm.
Youngsters discovered the hungry primate searching for food inside the common area at Rajabhat University Jombueng Campus in Ratchaburi, Thailand, on November 5.
Footage shows the resident attempting to shoo the macaque with a broom while yelling at it. However, the animal remained seated on the couch, calmly drinking milk tea.
The filmer, Natchanan Rakcharoenkit, said: 'The monkey came from Chom Phon Cave near to our building. I was sitting and eating with friends on the 4th floor when the monkey ran up from the door on the first floor.'
Monkeys are common in the area, and there have been reports of them taking items and even barging into homes in search of food.
Like other animals, they may attack when they feel threatened. Risks from monkey bites include serious wound infections, the herpes B virus, and rabies.
