Cars were swept away by floods caused by torrential rains in Cadaques, Spain.

Footage captured by resident Hugo Scoccia shows vehicles being dragged by the raging floodwaters on November 8.

Mayor Pia Serinyana confirmed that 32 vehicles were caught in the flood. The aftermath saw cars piled up against each other near a bridge by the town casino.

No casualties were reported in the recent flooding that affected the region.

Officials have reported at least 217 fatalities from the DANA storm that hit Valencia, Spain, on October 29.

The destructive weather system occurs when cold and warm air converge to create rain clouds. This event is thought to be becoming more common due to climate change.
