Tourist shocked as cheeky pelican bites his head during photo op in China
On November 10, in Jiudingshan Wildlife Park, Xuzhou, Jiangsu, a tourist posing for a photo with a pelican got quite a surprise when the bird suddenly opened its large beak and clamped down on his head. Although startled, the man soon realized the pelican was just playfully holding his head without causing any harm.
According to zoo staff, this pelican is known for its mischievous behavior, often attempting to "taste" anything it encounters. While it may seem like the bird is trying to "eat" people, the bite isn’t painful—though the pelican’s breath does have a strong odor.
