This is the moment neighbours rush to help a toddler who had fallen from a balcony in India.

Footage shows the three-year-old boy, alongside another child, hanging from the balcony railing on the first floor before falling onto the concrete ground in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on November 10.

Authorities reported that the boy was playing in Sunshine Apartment when he fell and sustained severe injuries.

Concerned residents were seen picking him up. He was then rushed to hospital, where he was in critical condition and kept in for treatment.

In another incident, a three-year-old girl survived after falling from the 27th floor of a building and landing on the 12th floor in Gaur City, Greater Noida, on October 4.

Reports noted that the incident occurred while the girl's mother was cooking. She had gone to the balcony to play and accidentally fell, suffering internal injuries.

Residents call for additional security measures on apartment balconies to prevent such accidents.
