A baby bison has bonded with the herd in Washington.

Footage shows the newest Northwest Trek Wildlife Park member staying close to its protective parent on November 8.

The charming bison calf, with its distinctive reddish-orange coat, was born in the Free-Roaming Area, a 435-acre Northwest paradise for herds of Roosevelt elk, bison, caribou, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, swans, and deer.

Bison are the largest land mammals in North America, with tufted tails and thick brown fur that grows denser in winter.
