A police car shunted a BMW driver into a row of trees during a chase in Washington.

Authorities said the pursuit began when the driver refused to comply with a routine traffic stop on November 9.

The vehicle, using altered license tabs, reached speeds of nearly 100 mph as it barreled through the Nisqually Indian Tribe territory.

The driver reportedly collided with at least one vehicle while fleeing Yelm Police.

As the chase neared Lacey, Thurston County deputies took over and used a PIT manoeuvre to send the BMW off the road.

A firearm was dislodged from the vehicle, later discovered to be stolen from Lacey in 2013.

The driver, injured in the crash, received treatment from deputies before paramedics took over.

A search of the car revealed additional stolen weapons.

The driver, with outstanding warrants, faces charges including hit and run, eluding police, and possession of stolen firearms.
