Monkey grabs bottle of water from hiker
This is the shocking moment a monkey grabbed a bottle of water from a hiker.
The holidaymaker was climbing the stairs when the primate suddenly snatched a water bottle from his hands in Guizhou, China, on October 18.
Footage shows the man dropping the container, allowing the macaque to successfully take it. The animal then opened the container and drank from it while sitting on the concrete steps.
Monkeys are common in the area, and there have been reports of them taking items and even barging into homes in search of food.
Like other animals, they attack when feel threatened. Risks from monkey bites include serious wound infections, the herpes B virus, and rabies.
