An F1 fanatic did donuts in his own Ferrari race car.

Footage shows Fred, a mechanic who repairs single-seat racing vehicles, skidding in a circular motion in his neighbourhood in Auvergne Rhone Alpes, France.

He said: 'I did donuts on the road in my F1 car. Why own a race car if you can't show it off?'

Racing fanatic Fred said he acquired the iconic red Ferarri on the secondary market. He maintains and services the race car in between driving it on the streets near his home. He also owns a 1990s McLaren with the distinctive Marlboro logo.

Ferarri's iconic red cars have become synonymous with the success of Formula 1. The Italian firm's most famous driver was Michael Schumacher and the British motorsport icon Lewis Hamilton will join the team in 2025.
