SOUNDBITE (English): HANS HENDRISCHKE, Professor at the University of Sydney Business School
"There are many different ways of helping those underdeveloped countries. And that's where APEC is, again, useful to decide on what the important measures are. China's Belt and Road is one experience, and China's domestic experience of reducing poverty is another big experience that is relevant for countries in the Asia-Pacific region. China is helping in many ways already. That could be through investment, that could be infrastructure support. China is a country that could help those smaller countries to build up their own industries. So, these are very practical ways in which China could help and could help more and is already helping."
