On November 9, in Shouguang, Shandong, shards of broken glass were scattered across a crosswalk, possibly from a damaged or dropped item by passing vehicles.

A passing woman noticed the hazard and immediately took action. As the traffic light turned red, she quickly got out of her car and began clearing the glass shards by hand on the crosswalk. With limited time, she made two trips during the red light, ensuring all the glass was cleared away before rushing back to her car.

Eyewitness Ms. Jin was deeply moved by the woman’s actions and captured the scene on her phone.

To recognise this act of kindness, Alibaba Foundation’s "Everyday Positive Energy" initiative decided to award the woman a “Special Award for Everyday Positive Energy,” along with a 5,000-yuan cash prize (£543.50). They are also calling on the public to help identify this “Crosswalk Heroine” so she can receive her honorary certificate and prize.
