The 2024 Sichuan International Friendship Cities Cooperation and Development Conference opened Tuesday in China's Chengdu.
Under the theme of "openness and cooperation for mutual benefit," the event attracted 43 friendship city delegations from 30 countries.
It aims to boost development of China's western region and promote cooperation with major cities around the world.
Participants attending the meeting believe the platform is of great significance for enhancing communications among friendship cities.
