A hero fisherman rescued three children who were struggling to stay afloat in the sea.

Witit Yanglang, 26, was repairing his boat docked at Tase Pier when his girlfriend shouted for help when she spotted the youngsters drowning in Trang, Thailand on November 11.

Footage shows Witit leaving his vessel and running to the other side of the harbour.

He was then seen hopping into the water to help the boys. Witit went to the two younger boys first who were hugging in the water.

The brave local pulled them to safety before taking the other one, who swam to the edge.

He said: 'I was fixing my engine around 5 pm. There were kids swimming in the water, taking turns jumping.

'When I heard the shout for help I quickly went to check. They are still young and not yet good swimmers so they struggled in the deep water.'

The youngsters were unhurt and returned home after thanking Witit.

The fisherman added: 'Kids and their parents should be cautious in the sea. It could have hurt them if no one was watching.'
