"Thank you for the warm reception. I came with the direction of President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi to convey a message of full support from the Egyptian leadership, the Egyptian government, and the Egyptian people to the brotherly Lebanese people and the Lebanese government during this difficult time.
For sure, Egypt will spare no effort to immediately stop this brutal aggression against Lebanon and reach a ceasefire as soon as possible to preserve the well-being of the Lebanese people. For sure, Egypt fully stands next to Lebanon and is providing all the possible aid to help this brotherly people during this crisis it is facing."

Abdelatty held separate meetings with Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Najib Mikati, during which he expressed Egypt's support for Lebanon.

"The ceasefire and the cessation of aggression is our priority without any conditions," he told Berri.

He further emphasized to Mikati the importance of choosing "a consensus president for Lebanon who is accepted by all Lebanese sects without any foreign intervention."
