Beijing, China - November 14, 2024 The Spanish version of the third season of "The Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping", a multilingual TV series produced by China Media Group (CMG), began airing on media outlets of Peru from Thursday -- the day the Chinese president arrived in the Peruvian capital city of Lima for a state visit to Peru and the 31st APEC Economic Leaders Meeting scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Focusing on the themes of cultural inheritance, ecological civilization, poverty alleviation, and exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations, the program features quotes from Chinese literary classics used by Xi in his speeches and articles, allowing the audience to understand Xi's outstanding political wisdom and profound historical and cultural learning. El Peruano, the most influential official newspaper of Peru, published an article earlier in the day about the broadcast of the program in the country. The article noted that the program showcases the open, inclusive and eclectic cultural spirit of the Chinese nation and explains the important concept put forward by Xi to promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, which is China's solution to "what kind of world to build and how to build it." The Peruvian newspaper also published a full-page special edition of the feature article to announce the news that the program would be aired by the country's mainstream media. Meanwhile, the official website of El Peruano released the program preview and posters. Multiple local mainstream media outlets, such as the National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru (IRTP), TV terminal of Radio Programas del Perú (RPP), Andina News Agency, and Panamericana Television, also covered the airing. Local communities representing various social sectors in Peru have shown their high expectations toward the program, demonstrating the belief that the program will contribute to opening a window for the Peruvian people to understand the Chinese leader' thinking on governance and appreciate the magnificence of Chinese modernization.
