Draymond Green exposed a hidden tension between Steph and Klay, revealing that Curry came to the game mad. But without him even saying that, you could see that there was something.
First of all, it was extremely out of character for Curry to yell out “You better stay here” multiple times.
Steph has never been a petty guy like that, much less towards someone who he used to call brother.
But it’s obvious that things have gone a bit icy between the 2.
Klay himself was super cold in his response when asked if they keep in touch.
“Not really. I will see them when I see them. That’s it”
And even when Steph reached out to him, Klay didn’t respond.
Woow, so basically Thompson is the one to blame for Steph going nuclear in the finish and doing all of this.
And that kind of explains why the hug between them looked more like the one from Kobe and Shaq at the height of their beef, rather than something we’ve seen from brothers like Lebron and D-Wade.
I understand Thompson being mad at the front office for not giving him the contract he asked for, but ghosting and not keeping in touch with the guys that were there for you when you needed it the most, is a bit strange to me. Remember this?
Steph was the guy supporting and comforting Klay when he was going through the darkest times of dealing with his injuries, crying on the bench and not knowing when he’s going to get back out on the court.
But maybe it’s our mistake for thinking that if 2 guys are the best players on a team, they have to be super close, when Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown said that this shouldn’t necessarily be the case.
And the best example of that is the most infamous fallout of this generation of superstar duos.
I’m still bummed out about how they parted ways, when this would have been a championship team.
So it was great to see the entire NBA twitter community going emotional over this clip of KD and Russ hugging it out.
This thing between Steph and Klay tho is only in the realm of competition, so it all works itself out. And as it looks, Giannis also worked things out with the Bucks so instead of trade demands, he’s yelling “this is my house” and he’s getting freaky on the court.
You gotta check out what exactly happened right here in this video. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.
