Tacoma, United States - November 12, 2024 In an unexpected late-night scene, sheriff's deputies in Tacoma were called to chase down two runaway horses dashing through city streets and a strip mall parking lot on Novmeber 12 at 10:46 p.m. The Pierce County Sheriff's Department responded swiftly, ensuring the safety of the animals and nearby vehicles as they moved through the busy area. Body camera footage shared by the department captured the horses trotting around the lot under the watchful eyes of the officers. “Thankfully, the owners arrived on scene,” the sheriff's office noted in a social media post. “Our job at that point was just to make sure other vehicles didn’t hit the animals as the owners corralled the animals.” Deputies humorously concluded the incident by stating, “Even though we needed some help, your deputies still cleared the call with two in custody.
