Beirut, Lebanon - November 17, 2024 Israeli warplanes renewed on Sunday morning their raids on Beirut's southern suburbs, shortly after the Israeli army issued another warning for evacuation, according to Lebanese media reports. On Sunday morning, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a new evacuation order for residents in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon. The order instructed residents of three specific buildings to evacuate immediately. The IDF stated that the areas were linked to Hezbollah militants and that action would soon be taken against the relevant targets. The Israeli army has intensified its raids in the past few days on various areas in Beirut's southern suburbs that allegedly belong to Hezbollah, causing great destruction and heavy material losses. Since September 23, the Israeli army has levelled up its air attack on Lebanon in an escalation of conflict with Hezbollah. In early October, Israel initiated a ground operation across its northern border into Lebanon. The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since the beginning of the current round of Israeli-Hezbollah conflict had reached 3,452, with injuries rising to 14,664, said the Lebanese Health Ministry on Saturday.
