Wild leopard attacks family's pet dog in India
This is the horrifying moment a wild leopard attacks a family's dog in India.
Footage shows the black labrador retriever walking in the garden when the big cat suddenly approached it in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, on November 15, around 9 am.
The leopard pounced and grabbed the dog by the neck.
Hearing the pet's cries, homeowner Mala Kumari rushed outside and screamed upon seeing the uninvited guest.
The wild feline released the dog and swiftly ran off while the injured pooch followed its owner inside.
Local reports indicate that leopards have been attacking and killing individuals in the country. Statistics estimate there have been 551 deaths from leopard and tiger attacks over a span of 20 years.
