Brazil: Xi arrives in Brazil for 19th G20 Summit, state visit
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - November 17, 2024 Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Brazil on Sunday to attend the 19th G20 Summit and pay a state visit to the Latin American country at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Upon his arrival at the Galeao Air Force Base in Rio de Janeiro, Xi was warmly welcomed by senior officials of the Brazilian government. Xi arrived in Brazil from Lima, where he attended the 31st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and paid a state visit to Peru. During his visit, Xi will hold talks with Brazilian President Lula to discuss bilateral relations and exchange views on international and regional issues of mutual interest, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
