A pet cat with a sad facial expression was found slumped in a refrigerator shelf to cool off.

Footage shows the one-year-old exotic ragdoll breed feline named Samboy as he was found inside the cold refrigerator in Manila, the Philippines on November 12.

Samboy was asked by his owner Shane Calayo to step out but he refused and appeared to ignore her.

Shane said: 'Oh no, what are you doing Sam? Do you want to live there from now on?

'Why are you sleeping on me? Look at what you have done. Come out now Samboy. Please come here. Let us go. Faster, come now. Okay, stay there. Bye now.'

Samboy did not move an inch until Shane pretended to close the door. However, the moggy remained there when he realised she was bluffing.

Shane added: 'He loves cool rooms and ever since he discovered it is also cold inside the fridge, he would enter to rest inside.'
