A pub has recreated the iconic 'Cards on the Doorstep' scene from Love Actually - declaring their love for the boozer.

The Murderers pub in Norwich, Norfolk released the video on Love Actually's 21st anniversary (Nov 14) where a customer stands at the door with a set of note cards.

In The Murderers' version, they shows messages similar to the scene in which Mark, played by Andrew Lincoln, declares his love for his best friend's wife.

However the Murderers' customer shows his cards to one of the pub's cleaners which read things like "to me, you are perfect"."

But he isn't talking to her - he's talking to the pub itself in the spoof dubbed 'Beer Actually'.

The customer even holds up a card reading 'I can't wait to be inside you' and when the cleaner objects, he holds up another which says 'I mean the pub'.

Phil Cutter, who runs The Murderers with his family, explained: "We thought this scene would be a lot of fun to recreate and it's just so memorable."

"Everyone recognises it."

"My daughter Molly was born in the pub and she stars as the cleaner. She enlisted some of her friends from London where she is appearing in Newsrevue."

"Will Austen filmed it for us while the other actor is Aiden Parsons."

"We loved putting this together and we're so pleased with how it turned out."

"It would be great to do something similar next year so I'm sure we'll start throwing some ideas around soon."

The clip was shared on the pub's social media channels on Thursday to mark the Norwich Christmas light switch-on and the 21st anniversary of Love Actually's release.
