This is the dramatic moment a protester jumped from a police station roof during a stand-off with officers.

The incident unfolded when the family of resident Raghuraj Singh clashed with authorities attempting to remove encroachments from the public Parikrama route in Purva, Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, on November 13. District Magistrate Neha Sharma ordered the operation.

The protest escalated when Singh's two daughters, Sadhna and Ekta Singh, reportedly began throwing stones and bricks at the police.

When officers intervened, the sisters allegedly slapped a female constable.

The situation further intensified when the sisters ran onto the roof. Ekta jumped from the building top, warning police not to remove the trolley.

Authorities later apprehended both women, and one of them was admitted to the hospital with injuries.

Officials said the encroachment removal operation was part of an effort to clear the public Parikrama Marg of illegal occupations.
