Military robot dog can keep its balance even when pushed
A military robot dog displayed its balancing abilities at a military hardware exhibit in China.
Footage shows the futuristic 'robo wolf' adjusting to maintain its position despite being shoved by an operator at the Zhuhai Airshow 2024 in Guangdong province on November 12.
The China South Industries Group Corporation (CSGC) that developed the machine said the robo wolves, each weighing 155lbs (70kgs) are meant to operate in packs and are intended to be adaptable in complex terrains.
CSGC said they were developing an airborne version of the robo wolves.
A military-style robot dog was even seen protecting President-Elect Donald Trump in Florida earlier this month.
While in Texas, Elon Musk's Tesla hopes to have its version of a human-robot called Optimus available for sale in 2026.
Musk - who had a prominent role in the recent US election victory of Donald Trump - recently presented Optimus, describing it as a multi-functional assistant that could handle household chores, play with children, and assist with various repetitive tasks.
