US: Helicopter Crew Saves Struggling Man Near Baker Beach
San Francisco, United States - November 17, 2024 A dramatic rescue unfolded on the afternoon of November 17th when a man was found struggling on the edge of a cliff near Baker Beach. The San Francisco Fire Department called in the California Highway Patrol (CHP) H-30 helicopter for assistance. The H-30 crew quickly responded, deploying a Helicopter Rescue Technician (HRT) to reach the man in distress. After being lowered to the cliffside, the HRT technician secured the patient before the helicopter hoisted him to safety on the beach below. Once safely on the ground, San Francisco Fire personnel evaluated the man for injuries, ensuring he received the necessary medical attention. The successful operation highlights the quick response and coordination of both air and ground teams in rescuing those in perilous situations.
