Wild monkey bites tourist's head in China
This is the terrifying moment a wild monkey bit a tourist's head in China.
The holidaymaker was passing by when the primate, perched on a guard railing, attacked him in Guizhou on November 11.
Footage shows the macaque grabbing the man's head and biting it viciously. It eventually let go briefly but then clawed at his face. This time, the tourist dodged and glared at the monkey.
He then walked away smiling despite the assault.
The victim reportedly did not sustain any serious injuries from the encounter.
Monkeys, like other animals, attack when they feel threatened. Risks from monkey bites include serious wound infections, the herpes B virus, and rabies.
