Fire breaks out on roof of Yekaterinburg hospital, Russia
On November 18, 2024, a fire broke out on the roof of the Central City Clinical Hospital No. 3 in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The fire, reportedly caused by repair work on the roof insulation, was quickly localized. Approximately 350 people evacuated the facility on their own, while rescuers evacuated additional individuals. Forty-eight rescuers and 16 units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the flames. Eyewitnesses reported a loud bang before the fire and black smoke visible from the outskirts of the city. Some people were forced to evacuate from the roof of a small extension.
